Captain Crean grew up in Torrington and graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in 2008. He started in the fire service in 2007 with the Torringford Volunteer Fire Department in Torrington. In 2010 he moved to New Hartford and joined the New Hartford Fire Department. He is currently employed as a Firefighter/EMT for Electric Boat Fire Department in Groton and works per diem as an EMT for New Hartford Ambulance.
